The Pong Audio Forum is an exciting new addition to the Chinese Learn Online system. One of our teachers will provide you with tasks for you to complete and answer in Chinese. An example will be recorded and posted. You can then respond by recording yourself and posting your answer to the given task. You can then compare your result with other users and the teacher.

1. Test to see if you are able to use the application by clicking here (Update: Pong has now been disabled) and logging in as a Guest.
2. If you are not able to access the forum, you may require the latest version of Java, which is available as a download here (this particular download is for Windows users only).
3. If you are able to access the forum (be patient as it does take some time to load) and view and listen to the posts, then I recommend you register. Registering will give you your personal login and password and will also allow you to chat and text other registered users who are also online. As the program is currently in beta for our site, we are offering free registrations to everyone. Just email me your desired login and password (which can later be changed), and I will set you up right away. Premium subscribers can also choose to use the same login information as on their regular account. Again, let me know and I’ll set that up.

- Unfortunately, this program is very picky about the network environment and may not run if you are running certain types of firewalls.
- There have been some problems with the program recognizing certain computer microphones (especially when multiple microphones are installed). You may have to play with your microphone settings to get Pong to recognize it.
- If there are any other issues you may have, please email us and we’ll do our best to provide you with whatever support you can.

Update: Pong has since been replaced with a new feature.
