3. Kuài dào 快到快到quickly approaching is used to indicate that something is approaching quickly as seen in wǒmen yǐjīng kuài dào liǎng bǎi kè le 我們已經快到兩百課了我们已经快到两百课了we are already approaching two hundred lessons .

4. Ba 把把to hold is used in Wǒ juéde yào bǎ zhèxiē dānzì quánbù jì xià lái 我覺得要把這些單字全部記下來我觉得要把这些单字全部记下来I think to take these words and remember all of them to indicate a metaphor of “taking” these words and putting them into memory.

5. Jiù 就就Precisely is used a couple of times in Hǎo，dì yīge bùfēn jiù shì wǒmen jiāo nǐmen de kè 好，第一個部分就是我們教你們的課好，第一个部分就是我们教你们的课Ok, the first part is the lesson we teach you and Jiù xiàng nǐmen xiànzài tīng dào de 就像你們現在聽到的就像你们现在听到的Just like the one you are listening to now . In this context, jiù 就就precisely can be thought of as meaning “precisely.” While we wouldn’t use it this way in English, it is commonly used in Chinese to fine tune the nuance of what you are trying to say.

Later, jiù 就就then is used in a different context in O，suǒyǐ rúguǒ nǐ jiārù huìyuán 喔，所以如果你加入會員喔，所以如果你加入会员Oh, so if you become a member ，nǐ jiù kěyǐ kàn de dào měi yī kè de zhōngwén zì 你就可以看得到每一課的中文字你就可以看得到每一课的中文字you can then see the Chinese characters for each lesson . Here the meaning indicates that you can see the Chinese characters “as soon as” you become a member. Similarly we can see its usage again in Suǒyǐ xuéshēng hěn kuài jiù huì wàngjì tāmen xué guò de dānzì 所以學生很快就會忘記他們學過的單字所以学生很快就会忘记他们学过的单字So students will very quickly forget the words they learned where the students forget the words “soon after” they study them.

6. Xiàng 像像Like for example can be used to say “for example” as in Xiàng xiànzài wǒmen jiāo nǐmen de zhè yī kè 像現在我們教你們的這一課像现在我们教你们的这一课Just like the lesson we are teaching you now ，dōu shì miǎnfèi de 都是免費的都是免费的it’s completely free and xiàng zhè yī kè yīyàng 像這一課一樣像这一课一样just like in this lesson .
