Adam: Ok, so let’s break down the first line of the dialogue for you.亚当：好吧，我们就这样让我们打破第一线的对话给你。
Kirin:麒麟： Jīntiānde jīntiānde tiānqì tiānqì hěn hěn lěng lěng . 。
Adam: So we know亚当：那么我们知道 jīntiānde jīntiānde means “today’s”.意思是"今天的" 。 You hear it lots of times in each lesson with你听到它地段的时候，在每节课与 jīntiānde jīntiānde duìhuà duìhuà meaning “today’s dialogue.” Here we have含义： "今天的对话"在这里，我们有 jīntiānde jīntiānde tiānqì tiānqì . 。 The该 tiān tiān is the same是相同的 tiān tiān from从 jīntiān jīntiān . 。 On its own, it can refer to “day” or “sky.” The second part is a falling tone对自己的，它可以是指"天"或"拼命三郎" ，第二部分是下降的声调 qì qì and refers to “weather.” So together并指"天气" ，所以在一起 tiānqì tiānqì means “weather.” It’s easy to confuse single syllable words on their own, so they are often paired with another word to clarify meaning which is why we have意思是"天气， "这是很容易混淆单音节词对自己的，所以他们常常是成对与另一个词澄清的意思，这就是为什么我们有 tiānqì tiānqì and not just而不是只 qì qì . 。

Adam: We know the next word亚当：我们知道下一个词 hěn hěn means “very.” That’s followed by意思是"非常， "这是其次 lěng lěng which is a falling rising tone and is the word for “cold.”这是一个属于上升基调，是意为"寒冷" 。

Adam:亚当： ”Duì” " duì " shì shì shénme shénme yìsi? yìsi ？ Shì shì “correct”de "正确"德 yìsi yìsi . 。 She then says:她接着说：

Adam: So there are some important concepts here that we need to look at.亚当：所以，有一些重要的概念，在这里，我们需要研究的问题。 Let’s start with the first word让我们从第一个字 dōngtiān dōngtiān . 。 That’s made up of a high tone这弥补了一个高声调 dōng dōng meaning “winter” followed again by意思是"冬天" ，然后再由 tiān tiān meaning “sky.” Putting those two words together gives us “the winter season.”意思是"拼命三郎" ，使这两个词在一起，使我们的"冬季" 。

Adam: The next word is亚当：下一个词是 shíhòu shíhòu which we’ve seen back in lesson 24 with the term我们已经看到，在24日的教训与任期 shénme shénme shíhòu shíhòu . 。 What does什么 shénme shénme shíhòu shíhòu mean?指的是什么？ It’sa question word asking “when.” The literal translation is “what time” so这是问题的字问： "当" ，直译是"什么时候" ，使 shíhòu shíhòu means “time.” Here we have意思是"时间" ，在这里，我们有 dōngtiānde dōngtiānde shíhòu shíhòu , meaning “wintertime.”意思是"冬天" 。
Kirin:麒麟： Dōngtiānde dōngtiānde shíhòu, shíhòu ， dōu dōu shì shì zhème zhème lěng lěng . 。
Adam: The next new word we have here is亚当：未来新词，我们在这里是 dōu dōu . 。 That’sa high tone and in this context means “all” or “entirely.” It is referring to the wintertime we just talked about. that'sa高声调，并在此背景下，意思是"所有"或"完全" ，是指冬季，我们刚刚谈过。 So she’s saying the entire wintertime所以她的话说，整个冬天 shì shì zhème zhème lěng lěng . 。 This next word这一个字 zhème zhème uses a falling tone and a neutral tone and can be used to say “so much” or “this much” And the last word采用降声调和轻声的，可以用来说， "这么多"或"本多" ，并硬道理 lěng lěng we saw earlier meaning “cold” so together我们看到刚才的意思"冷" ，所以在一起 zhème zhème lěng lěng can be translated as “this cold.”可以翻译为"冷" 。
Kirin:麒麟： Duì, duì ， dōngtiānde dōngtiānde shíhòu, shíhòu ， dōu dōu shì shì zhème zhème lěng lěng . 。
Adam: So the literal translation of this entire sentence is “Correct, winter time all is how cold.” Or in other words “That’s right wintertime is very cold.”亚当：所以直译的，这全句是"正确的，冬天的时候，所有的是如何感冒" ，或在其他话"的权利，冬天是非常冷" 。
