Individual Versus Group الفرديه مقابل مجموعة
One big difference between Chinese society and Western society is the concept of individualism. واحد والفرق كبير بين المجتمع الصيني والمجتمع الغربي هو مفهوم الفرديه. While out West, we are encouraged to be our own person, and develop our own ways of thinking, this concept isn’t as pronounced in Chinese culture, which lean towards وفي حين ان الغرب بها ، يشجعنا على ان تكون منطقتنا شخص ، وتطوير قدراتنا الخاصة بها طرق التفكير ، وهذا المفهوم ليس وضوحا في الثقافة الصينية ، التي تميل Confucian principles مبادئ متعلق بكونفوشيوس . Testing in schools is usually based around exams with only a single, right answer for each question. اختبار في المدارس وعادة ما تقوم حول الامتحانات مع واحد فقط ، والحق في الجواب عن كل سؤال. How students fare in these tests tends to dictate what classroom they might be placed in, what level of school they can attend and possibly what jobs might be available for them when they graduate. كيف اجرة الطلاب في هذه الاختبارات ما تملي تميل الى قاعات الدراسه انها قد تكون في وضع ، ما هو مستوى المدرسة يمكنهم حضور وظيفة ما ، وربما قد تكون متاحة لهم عند التخرج. As a result, parents tend to encourage their children to excel in subjects that require more linear thinking, as opposed to ones that require creativity. ونتيجة لذلك ، تميل الى تشجيع الاباء ابناءهم على التفوق في المواضيع التي تحتاج الى مزيد من الخطى في التفكير ، على عكس تلك التي تتطلب الابداع.
Interactions between people is often governed by the التفاعلات بين الناس كثيرا ما تكون محكومه relationship العلاقة that defines them. ان يحدد لها. An interaction between a boss and his employee would follow defined principles, as would one between a father and son, husband and wife or two friends. التفاعل بين رب العمل والموظف له اتباع مبادئ محددة ، كما من شأنه ان واحد بين الأب والابن ، الزوج والزوجه او اثنين من اصدقائه. Status is accorded to elders or those with authority. مركز الممنوحه لكبار السن أو مع تلك السلطة. One can build up their status through loyalty and giving face where appropriate. يمكن للمرء ان بناء الولاء وضعهم من خلال اعطاء وجه وحيثما كان ذلك مناسبا. While Western culture might reward qualities such as creativity, innovation and aggression, Chinese society instead promotes modesty, loyalty and conciliation. وفي حين ان الثقافة الغربية قد مكافاه صفات مثل الابداع والابتكار والعدوان ، والجمعية الصينية تشجع بدلا من التواضع والاخلاص والتوفيق.
The lack of individualism can also be found in the tendency for Chinese people to keep their expressions to themselves and not be emotional in public situations. عدم وجود الفرديه ويمكن الاطلاع ايضا في اتجاه الشعب الصينى ان تبقى على عبارات لانفسهم والا تكون عاطفيه في الحالات العامة. This is a trait that is taught from when children are young, which is why they often find novelty in the expressive nature of foreigners. وهذا هو سمة من ان تدرس عند الاطفال هم من الشباب ، ولهذا السبب فإنهم غالبا ما يجدون والجدة في معبر طبيعه الاجانب. People are encouraged to keep their opinions and expressions to themselves and not be too overt. وتشجع الناس على ابقاء آرائهم والتعبير عن أنفسهم وليس لغاية المكشوف. When matters are being discussed in meetings, decisions are usually made by consensus, which have to followed afterwards, regardless of whether personal beliefs differ. عندما الأمور التي تجري مناقشتها في الاجتماعات ، عادة ما تكون القرارات بتوافق الآراء ، التي يتعين عليها اتباعها وبعد ذلك ، بغض النظر عما اذا كانت تختلف المعتقدات الشخصيه.

Doors tend to be left open, even during classes or important meetings. تميل الى ان تكون ابواب ترك الباب مفتوحا ، حتى اثناء الاجتماعات الهامة التي تعقدها او الطبقات. When standing in line, you are expected to lean right up to the person in front of you to maintain your position. عندما يقف في الخط ، انت الحق العجاف من المتوقع ان تصل الى الشخص الذي امامك للمحافظة على موضعك. When parking a vehicle, a much smaller gap is left between vehicles than you might see out West. عند وقوف السياره ، أقل بكثير ، تبقى الفجوه بين المركبات مما قد ترى بها الغرب. As it is common for multiple generations of family members to live together, there is also much more closeness and interest in each others’ affairs. كما هو مشترك لعدة اجيال من افراد الاسرة للعيش معا ، وهناك ايضا كثير من التقارب ومزيد من الاهتمام في كل منهما الشؤون. Neighbors tend to be a lot more “nosier” so expect a keen interest from others on where you happen to be going and coming from each day. الجيران تميل الى ان تكون اكثر بكثير "اكثر فضوليه" حتى نتوقع اهتماما شديدا من الآخرين على ان يحدث لاين سيذهبون والقادمة من كل يوم. Some of this lack of privacy is a direct result of strict government controls in mainland China. هذا بعض من انعدام الخصوصيه هي نتيجة مباشرة لضوابط صارمه الحكومة فى البر الرئيسى للصين. Everyone from security personnel and service attendants to the general public is taught to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and report it to the relevant authorities. لكل فرد من افراد الامن والخدمات بالحضور لعامة الجمهور وتدرس ليراقب بها لتقرير عن الانشطه المشبوهة والى السلطات المختصة.
While Chinese society is certainly a lot more open in present day than it was in the past, a lot of these characteristics have ingrained themselves as part of culture. وفي حين ان المجتمع الصيني ومن المؤكد ان الكثير أكثر انفتاحا في هذا اليوم مما كان عليه في الماضي ، الكثير من هذه الخصائص قد تاصلت انفسهم كجزء من الثقافة. The increase in the numbers of foreign companies now operating in China has created more exposure among local Chinese to foreign methods and ways of thinking. الزياده في عدد الشركات الاجنبية التي تعمل حاليا في الصين قد انشأت اكثر التعرض بين المؤسسات المحلية والخارجية الصينية الى اساليب وطرق التفكير. However, those wanting to better integrate themselves into Chinese society can do well by understanding the roots and appreciating the values that govern people today. غير ان هذه الرغبة في الاندماج على نحو أفضل الى اللغة الصينية بالاضافة الى ما يمكن ان يفعله المجتمع من خلال فهم جذور وتقدير القيم التي تحكم الناس اليوم.
