Hi Jon,
It’s at about 550 words as of lesson 133. So that averages to just over 4 words per lesson.

In the recording, for the sentence “Nǐ yǒu xiǎng guò nǐ yǐhòu yào zuò shénme ma?” the word ‘gongzuo’ is used after ’shénme’, but is missing from the transcripts in the Complete and Vocabulary sections. Is it optional?

In the Sentence Builder, ‘I’m a student, now studying at Taiwan University’ starts ‘我是学生’, but following what we learned in lesson 131, should it include ‘一位’ i.e. ‘我是一位学生’? Or is this only used when referring to other people?

Thanks - we’ve updated the transcript. Having the “gongzuo” there or not is optional and similar to us choosing to say in English “what do you do?” and “what work do you do”?
Regarding 一位, that too is optional. Unlike English, in Chinese you can say “I’m student”. It can be used in cases where you want to emphasize the number of participants or just as “a” as in this case.
