   What’s with the funny sounding 2? What's funny avec la sonde 2? I only hear this from people who’s speak Mandarin as a second language. Je n'entends que cette part de personnes parlent le mandarin comme langue seconde.

   Hmmn… “èr” sounds pretty normal to me. Hmmn… "èr" sonne assez normal pour moi. I’ve heard it pronounced as “àr” by some Chinese speakers - is that the sound you are more accustomed to hearing? J'ai entendu dire qu'il prononce comme "àr" par certains orateurs chinois - est que le son que vous êtes plus habitué à entendre?

   It sounds like “ah” to me. Ca sonne comme "ah" pour moi. This is what I hear from many of the southern Chinese who transplant up north. C'est ce que j'entends de la part des Chinois qui les transplantés du sud vers le nord. Then again, I’m so used to hearing Northern (Bei Jing) Mandarin, that everything else sounds foreign to me. Là encore, je suis tellement habitué à entendre du Nord (Bei Jing) mandarin, que tout le reste des sons étrangers pour moi. Don’t get me wrong, I think her pronuciation is excellent, but if I were in a conversation with her, that 2 would have taken me aback. Ne vous méprenez pas, je pense que sa pronuciation est excellent, mais si j'étais dans une conversation avec elle, que 2 aurait pris m'a surpris. I would probably have to stop and ask her where she was from. J'aurais probablement de s'arrêter et de lui demander où elle était depuis.
