I have a quick question on this lesson. Wo dou keyi - in the context of this conversation, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday could work, correct? Monday until Wednesday. Since you translate it as “either is fine,” I am a little confused. This to me implies that there are only two options, so I want to make sure that Tuesday is indeed an option. Thanks.

Hi Anthony,
This is an important point, so I’m glad you asked! Dōu can represent “either”, “both” or “all” depending on context. So in this case, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are all fine.

Thanks for answering so quickly. It turned out to be evident from the next lesson. I’m really enjoying ChineseLearnOnline, especially its progressive nature.

I’m glad to hear that you are making progress. If you want a taste of where this course is going, listen to one of the latest lessons, which are mostly conducted in Chinese. The idea is to get you to the level where you understand every word in every lesson, so if you can follow the mostly Chinese lessons you must be doing pretty well!
