I started trying to learn all of these family relations (including one’s not listed in this vocab section), and wow this is difficult. Father’s older brother; father’s older brother’s wife; younger brother; younger brother’s wife; mother’s sister, etc. Then there are formal and informal variations; and it looks like sometimes there are just multiple words for a given variation. I gave up once I tried looking up cousin.

Hi Anthony,
I wouldn’t bother learning them either. I would focus on the vocabulary that you need to know first. As you meet people who fall into other categories, you can learn how to address them as and when needed.
