The exciting conclusion to Unit 1! المثيرة الختام الى الوحدة 1! It was worth waiting for. انه يجدر انتظار. I almost feel as if I deserve a small graduation ceremony … and you deserve congratulations, as well! انني اشعر تقريبا كما لو كنت تستحق صغير حفل تخريج… وانكم تستحقون التهنئة ، بالاضافة! I’ll probably indulge at my favorite Chinese restaurant, but none of that fast food in the review for me, 璧谢 bìxiè. انا ربما تنغمس في المفضلة لدي مطعم صيني ، ولكن لا شيء من ذلك للوجبات السريعه في الاستعراض بالنسبة لي ،璧谢bìxiè. Adam looking foward to the next set, most of the first lot has been more of a review for me, as I have been studying by myself for just over a year now. آدم foward اتطلع الى المجموعة التالية ، أكثر من اول الكثير وقد اكثر من استعراض للي ، كما انني قد يدرسون بها لنفسي ما يزيد قليلا على سنة الان. However I have found your course so far very useful for review and confirmation that I had actually learned something بيد انني وجدت دراستك حتى الان مفيد جدا للمراجعة والتأكد من ان كنت قد علمت شيئا فعلا
also there are a few new words and phrases I picked up along the way. ايضا هناك عدد قليل من الكلمات والعبارات الجديدة التقطت على طول الطريق. I have particularly appreciated listening to a variety of speaking styles. عندي تقدير خاص الاستماع الى مجموعة متنوعة من اساليب الناطقه. Just one question on this lesson. سؤال واحد فقط على هذا الدرس. In the past I have sometimes struggled with when to use mei2wen4ti2 and when to use mei2guan1xi I resolved this as viewing mei2wen4ti2 as something close to “no problem” and mei2guan1xi as something close to “no big deal”. في الماضي لقد كافحت مع بعض الاحيان عندما لاستخدام mei2wen4ti2 ومتى يستخدم mei2guan1xi لي حل هذا النحو مشاهدة mei2wen4ti2 كشيء قريبة "لا مشكلة" وmei2guan1xi كشيء قريبة من "اي صفقة كبيرة".

If he actually knew where Henry’s house was when she admitted that she didn’t it would definitly be a mei2wen4ti2 moment. اذا كان فعلا يعرف اين هنري منزل عندما اعترفت بأنها لم انها سوف تكون بالتأكيد mei2wen4ti2 حظة.

I think you have probably been smart enough to find a different approach that can coexist alongside the likes of Chinesepod, whereas direct competition would have been almost impossible at this stage. اعتقد ان لديكم ربما كانت ذكية بما فيه الكفايه لايجاد نهج مختلفة يمكن ان تتعايش جنبا الى جنب مع من يحب chinesepod ، في حين ان منافسه مباشرة لقد كان شبه مستحيل في هذه المرحلة.

Hi Chris, I pretty much agree with your assertion. مرحبا كريس ، وانا اتفق مع الكثير جميلة الخاص بك تأكيد. Only when preparing the review questions did I realize that I had two Méi guānxìs when I had wanted to use a Méi wèntí, which is why I added it to the review questions for the second dialogue. فقط عند اعداد استعراض اسءله لم ادرك انني قد اثنين méi guānxìs عندما كنت تريد استخدام méi wèntí ، الذي هو السبب في انني واضاف انه لاستعراض المسائل الثانية للحوار. Having said that, it is important to keep an open mind in regard to these definitions as many words and phrases in Chinese have a much broader definition than their English counterparts. اما وقد قلت ذلك ، ومن المهم ان يظل منفتح الذهن في هذه الصدد الى العديد من التعاريف كما الكلمات والعبارات في الصينية لها تعريف اوسع بكثير من نظيراتها الانكليزيه. So some words may be used in the same situation they would in English, but yet they may also be used in other situations where they wouldn’t in English. حتى بعض الكلمات التي يمكن ان تستخدم في الحاله نفسها انها باللغه الانجليزيه ، ولكن لأنها يمكن أن تستخدم أيضا في حالات اخرى حيث انهم لن باللغه الانكليزيه. I think the best way to illustrate this is through the use of more examples which I hope to do in level two and through the premium podcast reviews that will follow lessons. اعتقد ان افضل طريقة لتوضيح ذلك من خلال استخدام اكثر الامثله التي اتمنى ان تفعل في المستوى الثاني ، وخلال قسط بودكاست الاستعراضات التي ستلي الدروس. I’m hoping that listening to more examples like you did in the review will stir up more thoughts on how they are actually being used, thereby helping you remember them and where to use them. انا آمل ان يستمع الى المزيد من الامثله مثل فعلتم في هذا الاستعراض اثارة المزيد من الافكار عن الكيفيه التي تستخدم بالفعل ، مما يساعد تذكرون لهم فيها والاستفادة منها.

Adam, you are right of course. آدم ، وانتم على حق طبعا. I have already found that any English defiinition is some sort of approximation. ولقد سبق لي أن وجدت اي الانجليزيه defiinition هو نوع من التقريب. It was a little rash for me to use the word nailed هو كان قليلا طفح بالنسبة لي استخدام كلمة مسمر

Mandarin is my first language and it has been quite fascinting to discover that the only way to really understand some of it seems to result in subtle rewiring of the brain that actually changes the way I think all of the time. الافندي هو وجهتي الاولى اللغة ولقد كان لاكتشاف fascinting تماما بان السبيل الوحيد لفهم بعض حقا يبدو الى نتيجة في خفاء تجديد اسلاك من المخ فعلا أن يغير الطريقة اعتقد كل الوقت. Yeah, so many words are a shade off the meaning of the most common English equivalent, for example hen3 means very but it’s not as strong a very as English’s very. نعم ، وحتى الكثير من الكلمات هي الظل من معنى الاكثر شيوعا الانجليزيه يعادل ، على سبيل المثال وسائل hen3 جدا ولكنها ليست قوية جدا جدا كما الانجليزيه. You think you’ve got it, then you see some more examples and think hey hold on a minute there’s more too this than what I thought I knew. تظن انها عندك ، ثم رأيت بعض اكثر الامثله واعتقد يا على عقد لمدة دقيقة هناك أيضا أكثر من هذا ما كنت أظن وكنت اعرف. I was wondering about that sort of thing in Lesson 53 or 54, with all of that conversation about what do you “need” in a shop. كنت اتساءل عن هذا النوع من شيء في الدرس 53 أو 54 ، مع كل ذلك الحديث عن ماذا عن "الحاجة" في متجر. Now I’m wondering, is this a cultural difference in shopping, or is it one of those Chinese words that has a range of meanings that only partially overlaps with the range of the commonly used English eqivalent. الآن أنا أتساءل ، هل هذا الاختلاف الثقافي في التسوق ، ام انها واحدة من تلك الكلمات الصينية أن له طائفة من المعاني التي تتداخل جزئيا فقط مع مجموعة من يشيع استخدامها eqivalent الانجليزيه.
While I’m here, I’d like to point out that in 9 months of learning Chinese, this week is the first time I’ve had the privilege of hearing a reasonable length of dialogue and understanding it all. بينما أنا هنا ، اريد ان اشير الى انه في 9 اشهر للتعلم الصينية ، في هذا الاسبوع هي المرة الاولى التي قمت حظيت بشرف الاستماع لمدة معقولة من الحوار والتفاهم بين الاديان كلها. Perhaps if I’d had that experience a few times in the early months (before this course was running), I might have worked harder and progressed more in that time. ربما اذا كنت قد آن التجربه عدة مرات في الاشهر الاولى (هذا بالطبع قبل أن يمر) ، وأنني قد عملت الأصعب والأكثر تقدما في ذلك الوقت. Wow, I’m such a procrastinator–I finally finished unit 1! نجاح ، وانا من هذا القبيل المماطل - ط 1 وحدة وأخيرا انتهت! I think my New Year’s Resolution will be to pick up my pace–which is one of the nice things about online learning–I can go at whatever pace I like. اعتقد بلدي جديد قرار العام سيكون لالتقاط سرعة بلادي - وهي واحدة من لطيفة عن الاشياء للتعلم عن طريق الانترنت - واستطيع أن أذهب في وتيرة ايا أحب.
The review questions after the dialog are so helpful–I like how they differ slightly from the dialog. استعراض اسءله بعد الحوار هي مفيدة جدا - احب كيف انها تختلف قليلا من الحوار. This really forces you to think about the meaning and not just mimic/memorize what was said. هذا حقا القوات لكم ان نفكر في معنى وليس مجرد تقليد / استظهر ما قيل. If I have a dialog where I say, “I bought new pants” and I only ask, “How do you say, ‘I bought new pants’? واذا كنت قد فتح حوار حيث انا اقول ، "انا اشتري السراويل الجديدة" وانا فقط أسأل ، "كيف اقول ، اني قد اشتروا سراويل جديدة'؟ Then that is very limited to me because my lazy brain will only think about “I bought new pants” as a whole. ثم انه محدود جدا بالنسبة لي لان بلدي كسلان الدماغ لن يؤدي الا الى التفكير "انني اشتري سراويل جديدة" ككل. But if you ask me, “How to do say, “I bought a new coat!” This actually forces me to think–it isn’ta case where I just have to remember what that line of dialog was, because it’s not the same. ولكن اذا سألتني ، "كيف يقول ،" انني اشتري معطف جديد! "هذه القوات فعلا مني - اعتقد انها isn'ta حالة انا فقط ان نتذكر ان ما خط الحوار كان ، لأنها ليست نفسه.
