I have a question.我有一個問題。
I have used zhi1 as a measure word for dog and got away with it, I have also been strongly corrected to tiao2 (why, as dogs have nothing in common with snakes or rivers etc.).我用zhi1作為一個量詞為狗離開了，而且，我也一直堅決糾正，以tiao2 （為什麼，因為狗有沒有相同之處與蛇或河流等） 。

Tiáo is used for “long, twisty” things. tiáo是用"長期，曲折的"的事情。 Fish seem to be in that category so it’sa loose definition that could be extended to dogs as well.魚似乎是在這一類別中，所以它是鬆散的定義，即可以擴大到狗一樣。 I’ve seen both tiáo and zhī used for dogs so it could be a regional preference.我見過兩個tiáo和zhī用於犬，所以它可以是一個區域偏好。 Thanks for bringing it up!感謝它帶來了！
