I have a question.我有一个问题。
I have used zhi1 as a measure word for dog and got away with it, I have also been strongly corrected to tiao2 (why, as dogs have nothing in common with snakes or rivers etc.).我用zhi1作为一个量词为狗离开了，而且，我也一直坚决纠正，以tiao2 （为什么，因为狗有没有相同之处与蛇或河流等） 。

Tiáo is used for “long, twisty” things. tiáo是用"长期，曲折的"的事情。 Fish seem to be in that category so it’sa loose definition that could be extended to dogs as well.鱼似乎是在这一类别中，所以它是松散的定义，即可以扩大到狗一样。 I’ve seen both tiáo and zhī used for dogs so it could be a regional preference.我见过两个tiáo和zhī用于犬，所以它可以是一个区域偏好。 Thanks for bringing it up!感谢它带来了！
