I think the translation “traffic” is wrong, it should be “traffic jam”.我觉得翻译的"交通" ，是不对的，应该是"交通堵塞" 。 So:所以：
traffic jam = 塞車 sāichē or 堵車 dǔchē交通拥堵=塞车sāichē或堵车dǔchē
traffic = 交通 jiāotōng交通=交通jiāotōng

Good point - in English “traffic” and “traffic jam” are sometimes used interchangeably whereas there are separate words in Chinese.好一点-在英语的"交通" ， "大塞车" ，有时互换使用，而有不同的话，在中文。 Thanks!谢谢！
