Hello, Adam:
In the Premium questions for this lesson, one answer is: “Wo jiejie de míngzi shì Lisa.”
I had tried “Wo jiejie jiao Lisa.”
Would that be incorrect or different context in some way?

Hi Craig,
That would be equally correct. Here are different ways to say it:
1. Wǒ jiějiede míngzi shì Lisa. (My older sister’s name is Lisa.)
2. Wǒ jiějie shì Lisa. (My older sister is Lisa.)
3. Wǒ jiějie jiào Lisa. (My older sister is called Lisa)
Which one you use could depend on the question, if there was one. So the corresponding questions for these three could be:
1. Nǐ jiějiede míngzi shì shénme? (What’s your older sister’s name?)
2. Nǐ jiějie shì shéi? (Who is your older sister?)
3. Nǐ jiějie jiào shénme míngzi? What’s your older sister called?

Just want to comment that I find the translation questions in the Notes section invaluable!
It makes me have to think and review what I have learned in order to translate the phrases into english or Chinese. Also it is very satisfying when I get them right!
If future lessons have more of these review questions it would be great.
Thanks Daniel. I too see value in them however there were some problems I wanted to address:
1. Many people were too busy to come to the website and do the review questions there, so not enough people were taking the time to actually do these questions.
2. People wanted audio to go with them.
I tried to address both issues in level 2 by now including these questions as part of a separate podcast, so now you can listen and answer questions without coming to the site. You also benefit from having the audio to check your pronunciation too. Transcripts are available for those who prefer to see the questions on screen. Let me know if this works for you.
Ok sounds like a good improvement. I’ll check them out when I get to level 2.
I’d like to download the review audio parts and save them on a file, but can only do them for lessons 5 to 10 where it says ‘listen or download’. Why haven’t you added the download option to lessons 1 to 4, and lessons 11 to 33?

All the review audio for each level (60 lessons) is available as a separate purchase option from our bulk downloads page. We are in the process of adding more download options to this area as well, so please keep the suggestions coming in.

Does this imply that my current monthly membership I am not able to download any of the review audio files - as I like Michelle am trying to download audio review files form lesson 11 onwards and all it say is ‘play in pop up’
Please if you can make this available as part of the monthly membership would be appreciated
